THE CERVICO-FACIAL LIFT: FACELIFT IN PARIS
The cervico-facial lift is a facial cosmetic surgery procedure designed to correct the visible effects of aging on the lower face and neck. It is one of the most effective treatments for restoring the facial contour and tightening sagging tissues, while maintaining a natural and harmonious result. In Paris, many patients choose this technique to regain a refreshed and rejuvenated appearance without altering their facial expressions.
Your Questions
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT FACELIFT SURGERY
WHAT IS A MINILIFT?
The minilift is a minimal cervicofacial facelift. Only the skin structures are tightened, without affecting the underlying muscles.
The procedure is shorter and can be performed under local anesthesia with sedation.
However, it is important to note that the minilift results in the same type of scars as a traditional cervicofacial facelift.
WHEN CAN I RETURN TO WORK?
Normal social activity can usually be resumed 1 to 2 weeks after surgery.
This allows time for potential bruising to fade and for the physiological swelling (edema) to subside.
ARE FOREHEAD LIFTS STILL PERFORMED?
With the increasing use of botulinum toxin (Botox) for the forehead, forehead lifts are now rarely indicated.
A complementary forehead treatment with Botox injections can be proposed during consultation. It can be combined with a classic cervicofacial facelift to achieve a harmonious facial rejuvenation.
WHERE ARE THE SCARS PLACED?
The scars are located along the edge of the crow’s feet and at the hairline. They extend toward the ear, passing behind the tragus, then behind the ear.
After complete healing, they are barely visible, if at all, as they are positioned within the natural folds of the face.
For optimal healing, it is essential not to smoke for 1 month before and 1 month after surgery.
WHAT IS THE COST OF A FACELIFT?
The cost of a facelift depends on the estimated operative time.
Accordingly, the duration may vary for each patient.
Additional procedures can also be performed at the same time: blepharoplasty, fat injections (lipofilling), lip augmentation with hyaluronic acid, etc.
Indicative prices are provided on the website under the Pricing page.
A facelift is considered a cosmetic procedure and is therefore not covered by Social Security.
I HAVE ALREADY HAD A FACELIFT, CAN I HAVE ANOTHER ONE?
It is possible to have a second facelift some time after the first. The main condition is that the tissues have loosened over time.
To ensure long-term results, a technique that tightens the facial muscles (superficial musculoaponeurotic system, SMAS) is preferred.
Once the facial muscles are retightened, another facelift should not be necessary.
IS A FACELIFT POSSIBLE FOR MEN?
Absolutely.
However, there are some subtleties related to facial hair and the hairline.
The scar placement is therefore not exactly the same as in women. Aside from this, the principle and results remain the same.
