Your Questions
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT UPPER BLEPHAROPLASTY AND EYE OPENING
CAN I START WITH INJECTIONS AND DO AN UPPER BLEPHAROPLASTY LATER?
Yes, it's quite possible, and often even relevant. Injections allow you to test a slight eyebrow lift and see how you live with a slightly more open look. When the excess skin becomes too great, or the injections no longer bring enough improvement, upper blepharoplasty can be considered for a longer-lasting result.
IF I LIKE THE INJECTIONS, CAN I DO THEM AGAIN INDEFINITELY?
In theory, you can repeat botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid injections as long as there are no medical contraindications and you're happy with the result. However, it's important to maintain a reasonable approach: doses must remain appropriate, time intervals respected, and your face must retain its mobility and naturalness. In the long term, if genuine excess skin appears, continuing with injections alone is likely to become costly and less effective than a well-performed upper blepharoplasty. Regular reassessment with your doctor or surgeon is therefore essential.
WILL BLEPHAROPLASTY PREVENT ME FROM HAVING FOREHEAD INJECTIONS AFTERWARDS?
Upper blepharoplasty does not preclude subsequent injections into the forehead, glabella or temporal region. On the contrary, many patients combine stabilized surgery with small touches of aesthetic medicine to maintain the freshness of the upper third of the face. You'll simply need to adapt the doses and injection points to your new anatomy, so as to respect the position obtained for the eyebrow and preserve a natural look.
WILL MY FACE CHANGE?
No, a well-managed upper blepharoplasty or well-dosed eyebrow injections should not transform you into a different person. The aim is to correct excess skin, sagging or imbalances that make you look tired, severe or sad, while respecting your features. During your consultation, explain clearly what you already like about your look and what you want to preserve: this helps the specialist to propose a treatment that suits you and that you'll feel really comfortable with.
HOW DO YOU SLEEP AFTER AN UPPER BLEPHAROPLASTY?
After blepharoplasty, We recommend sleeping on your back, with your head elevated. with two pillows for about 7 to 10 days to limit edema and swelling. Avoid sleeping on your side or stomach, so as not to press on the eyelids or pull on the sutures. Don't rub your eyes, even if they itch. If your surgeon authorizes it, you can apply cold during the day, but never directly on the skin.
In the event of unusual pain, very red eyes or reduced vision, contact your surgeon immediately.
