Your Questions
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT RENUVION
DOES RENUVION TREATMENT LEAVE VISIBLE SCARS?
No, Renuvion treatment leaves no visible scars. Dr. Djian makes tiny incisions, usually less than 3 mm, hidden in the natural folds of the skin. They are closed with a simple bandage, with no visible stitches. Thanks to this minimally invasive approach, the skin regains its firmness and tone without visible stigmata, unlike a surgical facelift.
CAN YOU DO SPORTS AFTER A RENUVINATION SESSION?
It is advisable to wait 5 to 7 days before resuming gentle physical activity.. Dr. Djian recommends limiting intense or repetitive movements during the first week, to promote recovery. Resumption of intensive sports (running, weight training) should wait 2 to 3 weeks, depending on the area treated and the progress of the edema.
CAN RENUVINATION BE PERFORMED WITHOUT LIPOSUCTION?
Yes, Renuvion can be performed on its own, without prior liposuction.. This technique is particularly indicated for thin patients with a localized sagging skin but little or no fat to aspirate. Dr. Djian always assesses the indication on a case-by-case basis: if excess fat is associated, upstream liposuction is still recommended for a more homogeneous result.
WHO IS RENUVION FOR?
Renuvion is designed for patients with moderate skin sagging, It is often used after weight loss, pregnancy or natural aging. It is suitable for both women and men, provided that the weight is stable. Dr. Djian does not recommend this technique in cases of obesity, large abdominal aprons or poor skin quality, which require a surgical facelift instead.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RENUVION AND CLASSIC RADIOFREQUENCY?
Renuvion is more powerful than conventional radiofrequency it combines helium and RF energy to create an instant thermal plasma. Unlike surface treatments, it acts deep down, with immediate collagen contraction and long-lasting stimulation. Dr. Djian reserves Renuvion for moderate slackening, while external radiofrequency is less invasive but also less effective.
